Hi Dino,

The good thing with 5050 is that it's got 8 MyMode settings. You can do all adjustments for a specific scene and save it to be able to recall it later.
That also includes white balance, which is a great thing when shooting w/o an external strobe. The wide angle lens is good but also takes away some pic quality and light. Start with built in lens I suggest. The built in macro however is STUNNING!

As for general tips I would recommend learning about white balance. It does make a big difference. I havent used a red filter myself, but it would be fun to see if it makes a big difference?!

Also learn about AS and TS modes. Very useful to reduce motion blur and to increase "artisticness" with depth of field.

Hi Rikke,

I recently got a pt015 for my sis' 5050Z and was wondering if you could give me some hints on how to use it at its best... since you produced some remarkable shots down there...

She is going to be in Croatia for abt a month, sailing, I will join her halfway along the cruise... so I have to explain her how to use it all by herself.

She is going to do basically snorkeling and picts in shallow waters.

For that do you think I need a red/orange filter? And what abt a flash/strobe, is the built-in one that bad?

Another thing that concerns me a bit is the narrow FOV of the built-in lens, I see you used a dome for some of your picts... is it really a must or since we are going to do mostly macro or close-up pictures we can just do without?

I am buying a couple more of o-rings just in case, silica gel and grease, but have you got some suggestions on how to keep the equipment tip-top and get sure there are no malfunctions?

Sorry for the third-grade interrogation... ;-) thank you in advance.

Hej, jag heter Milan. Jag vill bara säga att jag tycker att dina semesterbilder inte alls är speciellt fina. Det ser inte alls ut som att du hade det bra på semestern. Egentligen tror jag att du led varje sekund. Det jag har svårt att förstå är varför man lägger så mycket pengar på en tråkig resa när det är graits att stanna hemma och njuta av det fina som vi har här.
